Founder of Lynx Edicions and editor of the Handbook of the Birds of the World. He earned his degree in medicine, but as a country doctor birdwatching got the best of him and led him to create, along with his partners, the HBW series. One of his favourite tasks for the series is selecting the 400 photos from up to 17,000 that arrive for consideration for each volume! Currently is Vice-president of the Spanish Society of Ornithology and member of the Global Council of BirdLife.

Professor of the Department of Zoology of the USP, Associate Curator of Ornithological Collections the Museum of Zoology of S. Paulo University, Researcher Level 2 of CNPq and Chief Editor of the Revista Brasileira de Ornitologia. It is also member of the Brazilian Committee of Ornithological Records (CBRO) and Associate Researcher of the World Pheasant Association (UK). 33 scientific articles published in journals. It has published seven books (plus one in press), six chapters of books (four more in press) and 41 presentations at conferences in Brazil and abroad. Currently coordinates seven research projects. Works mainly in the structure, taxonomy and conservation of birds.

Millard Schisler

Master in Visual Arts from the University of Rochester (USA), Millard was one of those responsible for implementation of digital photography in the curriculum of the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, RIT, where he taught photography from 1996 to 2004. He was hired by the School of Print Media of RIT to develop the courses in the area of imagery to new media and the flow of work for digital printing and Web. As a photographer, as well as a personal work, photographed for many years in Brazil for organizations such as UNICEF and UNESCO in the documentation of NGOs and social problems. Today working in Brazil as photographer and consultant in the areas of digital imaging, bank of images, collections and digital print.

Hilton Ribeiro

He studied at the School of Photography Focus in São Paulo (1969) and began shooting professionally in 1972, in the newspaper Correio de Campinas. Later worked in universities and advertising agencies. Has his own photo studio, in 1981 and photographed for book covers, advertising and journals.
